BSGAREmergency Abdominal Imaging Workshop

Tuesday 5th & Wednesday 6th February 2019
The Pullman Hotel (adjacent to the Liverpool Exhibition Centre)

A comprehensive one-day “hands-on” course aimed at consultants and trainees who want to refine their emergency abdominal CT reporting skills. Feedback from previous BSGAR workshops has invariably been very positive.

Attendees will sit in pairs at iMac workstations running Osirix viewing software. The day alternates between short lectures and longer “hands-on” case review sessions during which delegates will have the opportunity to review cases while faculty assist and discuss image interpretation. During the day you will review at least thirty examinations covering a wide range of emergency findings. The short lectures include bowel obstruction, PPI (peritonitis, perforation, ischaemia), haemorrhage, trauma and post-op shambles.

The faculty has extensive experience of emergency abdominal CT and have been selected for their highly-rated teaching skills and approachability.
Questions and discussion are encouraged through the whole of the day.
